Hampton Assured Places
An increasing number of our boys move onto Hampton School gaining places through the Assured Place Scheme or via the Hampton School 11+ Entrance Examination.
The Assured Place Scheme is operated by the Hampton School Trust and provides an opportunity for boys attending Hampton Pre-Prep & Prep to secure a place at Hampton School in advance of the normal 11+ entrance examination timings.
As boys must reach the qualifying standard in the entrance assessments, there is no guarantee that boys attending Hampton Pre-Prep & Prep will automatically gain an Assured Place to Hampton School. Equally, there is no expectation that boys move onto Hampton School.
Current pupils in Year 2 to the end of Year 5, have the opportunity to be recommended for an Assured Place to Hampton School for entry to Year 7 at 11+. The award of an Assured Place is subject to boys reaching the required standard in assessments administered by Hampton Pre-Prep and Prep and the submission of references to the Hampton School Admissions Committee. Boys without an Assured Place may register to sit the Hampton School 11+ examination.
If a boy fails to maintain a suitable level of effort and attainment over a prolonged period, at any time following the offer of an Assured Place, the Headmaster of Hampton Pre-Prep and Prep may recommend to the Headmaster of Hampton School that the place be revoked.
Boys joining Hampton Prep from another school may also be considered for an Assured Place to Hampton School. The Assured Place can be awarded on the basis of the results of entry tests or via our ongoing assessment procedures. The offer of an Assured Place is subject to the applicant joining Hampton Prep and attending until the end of Year 6.
For those who do not receive the offer of an Assured Place to Hampton School
Boys at Hampton Prep who have not gained an Assured Place by the end of Year 5 may sit Hampton School’s 11+ Entrance Examination.
Hampton School Scholarships & Bursaries
Boys who are awarded an Assured Place must sit the Hampton School 11+ Entrance Examination if they wish to be considered for a Scholarship or Bursary.
