We used this learning in our English lessons to write two facts about Plastic Pollution – thinking carefully about capital letters and careful punctuation. We also spoke about ways we would try and help at home and in our community. Lots of children were very keen to engage in a litter pick. What a thoughtful idea!
In maths we have been looking carefully at patterning – we learnt about attributes in a pattern; colour, size, shape, and how these can be used to create and continue a pattern.
We have all loved learning about the children’s open homework creations and have been hugely impressed with their presenting skills. What a lot of interesting and diverse ideas stemming from the word Heat!
The children have worked incredibly hard during their first half term – we have been very impressed with how they have settled into Year 1, and we wish you all a relaxing and pleasant half term break.
