Our aim is provide the maximum opportunity for our pupils to explore, discover and be challenged in academic pursuit, as well as during their co-curricular experiences and play times.

An introduction to Pre-Prep

Hampton Pre-Prep is co-educational offering girls and boys, aged three to seven, a happy, nurturing and inspiring education. Our well-qualified and dedicated staff value the privilege of educating young children and provide them with a broad and balanced curriculum tailored to their needs; both Kindergarten and Reception follow the Statutory Early Years Foundation Stage Framework.

Throughout Pre-Prep every day is different. We encourage our pupils to take daily, small steps to develop their confidence, curiosity and passion for learning. They learn through a range of play-based activities as well as more formal methods of learning and have many opportunities to develop their independence. All children in Pre-Prep benefit from specialist music and games lessons from Reception onwards. Year 1 and Year 2 begin to use the extensive facilities available at the Prep School, particularly for sports. Weekly swimming lessons take place at Hurst Pool for pupils in Years 1 and 2.  For our boys, the transition from Pre-Prep to Prep is smooth. At the age of 7 we help our girls move onto one of the many excellent senior schools in the area.

An introduction to Prep

Hampton Prep School is situated on a lovely green-field site that overlooks Carlisle Park in Hampton. The purpose-built, state-of-the-art building was opened in 2016 and offers exceptional facilities. The Prep timetable is created to ensure that the skills essential for the core subjects of English and Mathematics have time to be embedded and flourish. All areas of the creative curriculum are explored and artistic and athletic abilities allowed to grow.

Our Year 3 to Year 6 boys have a timetable divided equally over ten forty-minute sessions. Each class has a Form Tutor who mentors the pupils and acts as a conduit for academic and pastoral messages between the School and home. The timetable is enriched by a comprehensive schedule of workshops and School visits. Our extensive co-curricular programme occurs mainly after the end of the School day and a wide range of pursuits are offered.
