In these ideal conditions, boys and girls from Years 1-6 raced their hearts out for the cause of House pride. There were epic sprint finishes, slips and tumbles, and examples of stoic determination, as well as a strong feeling of House and whole school camaraderie. It fed into a great atmosphere. By the end of the event, Mr Bendelow had crunched the numbers and revealed the ribbons on the event cup needed to be changed from Lancaster Red to Tudor Blue. Congratulations to them for getting their hands on the cup for the first time in 6 years!

Last weekend the U9s and U11s attended the King’s House Rugby Festival. It was a small festival attended by some big schools such as Dane’s Hill and Donhead. The U11s took a couple of games to get the sleep out of their system but they came away with two wins by the end of the festival. The U9s didn’t fare so well in terms of results, recording 3 losses and a drawer, but all their games were close and most importantly they played extremely well, demonstrating great progress from the start of term.

Finally, the summer term cricket fixtures are now on the school calendar, which can be found on My School Portal.

I wish all our pupils a happy half term.
