In mathematics, the children have been learning all about time. They enjoyed exploring a calendar displaying days and months and were able to pick out dates, days and special events. They then moved on to telling the time to the hour and to the half hour. So, we hope that the Year 1 families will make the most of their newly qualified time-keepers over the summer break!
The week concluded with a highly-anticipated visit from Buddy the dog! The children were delighted to welcome Buddy to school, and treated him very kindly indeed! They were excited to watch him raise his paw, roll over for a tummy rub and catch a treat. I am sure that Buddy will look out for his new Year 1 friends over the summer holiday, every time he is in Carlisle Park!
We look forward to a fun-filled last week of term but in the meantime have a super weekend.
