Last week, we reinforced our understanding of the Golden Rules and each day have used these as a basis for class discussions; it has been lovely hearing all the children’s views and we have heard some very sensible and caring responses. To recap from last year, our Golden Rules are as follows:
- Do Be Gentle.
- Do Be Kind and Helpful
- Do Listen to People
- Do Work Hard
- Do Look after Property
- Do Be Honest
We have enjoyed learning our daily routines and are impressed with how independently the children are coming into class, hanging up their coats and putting away their book bags and water bottles – well done, Reception!
This week we have put a name card in your child’s book bag for you to practise writing their name slowly and carefully in our cursive style. Don’t forget to hold to encourage your child to hold their pencil correctly and to start each letter on the line.
Next week Reception will be thinking about our topic ‘Magnificent Me’.
Have a lovely weekend!
