The next day we held the Hampton Prep 5-aside tournament at Hampton. From the first minute of the first game the boys looked superb, winning every group game before beating The Mall 2-1 in the semi-finals before going onto defeat King’s Wimbledon 4-1 to win the cup. An outstanding effort in a competitive tournament.
As you can see, they got to celebrate the achievement with the Elizabeth College Junior School pupils who had flown over from Guernsey for the weekend to play in the tournament and were staying with the boys. It certainly sounded like they had a fantastic time and a massive thank you to the Hampton Prep parents who hosted them.
On Monday, boys continued to apply what they had learnt, going to King’s and beating them 4-0 and Thomas’ Fulham 4-0. The Bs linked up marvellously to score some brilliant goals and the Cs demonstrated excellent resilience to go down 2-0 before turning it around to win 5-4 in a great game.
Next week we are looking forward to running House Football on Friday, KO at 2:15pm. We look forward to seeing you there.
