In maths, we have been navigating the number line. We can label a blank number line, use a number line to find numbers greater and less than any given number, and use it to answer simple addition problems. Next week we will be learning all about 3D shapes.
In science, we were very excited to discuss and plan our experiment – to test materials to make a new umbrella for Lenny the Lion our class pet. We know that the material must be waterproof and we discussed what might be a good material for the umbrella. We made a prediction and will let you know how we get on with our experiment next week!
Finally, on Friday it was the turn of Year 1 to perform their class assembly for the school. We based our assembly on one hundred years of toys – how these have changed throughout the years as new materials were invented. The children spoke clearly and confidently, and the audience especially enjoyed our rousing rendition of The Grand Old Duke of York!
Have a super weekend.
