House football is this year’s first House event, with September’s swimming gala having to be called off. I’m happy to report that this will now take place in the summer term.
The U10 A and B team excitably left school yesterday afternoon to take part in the Kings College U10 football tournament. It’s a competition that always attracts big schools and this year was no different, leading to a great standard of football being played. The A team recorded a 2-0 win against Thomas’ Kensington, a draw against Kings B, and a loss against Green Lane Primary. They entered the Quarter final of the Plate Competition against Hurlingham and were unlucky not to score with the ball hitting the post on a couple of occasions. The result game came down to penalties and Hurlingham came out the victors. It was a good afternoon, and the boys had a great time. Being a B team in an A team tournament is a tricky task, and the U10 Bs had a tough afternoon of it, facing A teams in every match. However, they kept their heads up and tried their best, which is all we ask of them.
Finally, our congratulations to Siddarth in Year 5 who is the latest Hampton Prep boy to earn a place Surrey County Cricket Club’s Development Program! Well done to him for all his hard work.
