We also joined the nation in celebrating Anti-Bullying Week with the theme, Choose Respect. The children engaged thoughtfully in activities that reinforced the importance of kindness, inclusion, and standing up for one another. It was heartwarming to see how readily they understood and articulated the power of respect in our school. Through their discussions, it was clear that these young hearts are already developing a strong sense of empathy and community.

On Tuesday, we took part in Odd Socks Day, a fun yet meaningful way to celebrate individuality and the uniqueness of each person. The sight of colourful socks marching through the School brought joy and laughter to all. It was a brilliant reminder that while we may all be different; it is our differences that make us special and worth celebrating.

On Thursday, we were thrilled to welcome friends from Year 3 to Pre-Prep, where they presented a fantastic assembly on our current theme, 100 Wonderful Years, in the form of an A-Z! A huge thank you to 3LS and Mrs Scammell for sharing such a thought-provoking and inspiring presentation – safe to say, we loved every minute! It was also a special treat to see some familiar faces amongst the group, making the occasion even more memorable.

Friday’s assembly was led by Kian (Year 2) who urged us all to get involved in Eco Schools, Cut Your Carbon. This month-long, carbon-cutting challenge takes place throughout November. It encourages young people and their families to complete six simple actions to raise awareness and reduce their carbon footprint.  We will share more information in due course.

This week the Courtesy Cup and Badge went to Bodie (Year 1) for courteous behaviour on the carpet – always showing BRILLIANT listening skills. We appreciate you, Bodie.

and Stars of the Week to:

Year 2: Oscar S for super mathematical thinking, making good use of the resources available.

Year 1: Krishna for demonstrating bravery at swimming and being an all-round classroom superstar!

Reception: Arnav for his fabulous writing about the story ‘Dear Zoo’ – well done!

A number of presentations were made in assembly, too:  Many congratulations to George (Reception) for being selected as Half Backs Player of the Week, Finlay R (Year 1) for good listening at Teddington Rugby Club,  Noah (Year 1) for his certificate of participation from the half term chess camp and Coco (Year 1) for her two swimming certificates – Stage 1 and Stage 2.

As always, our Pre-Prep children have filled the week with energy, creativity and compassion. It’s a joy to watch them grow, learn, and show such care for one another. We look forward to more opportunities to build on these themes of respect, kindness, and unity in the coming weeks.

Lastly, on the topic of safeguarding, please take a moment to read Mrs Howard’s valuable insights on PEGI ratings—a reminder that we all should keep in mind, especially during the festive season, when more movies may be watched at home.

Have a wonderful weekend!
