Earlier this week, the children enjoyed a fabulous VR Space Workshop, which was an unforgettable experience. The children were amazed as they travelled through the solar system, explored distant planets and discovered the wonders of space — all without leaving the school! Their curiosity, excitement and enthusiasm shone throughout, and it was fantastic to see them so engaged and eager to learn. The workshop really brought their learning to life, and the children’s thoughtful questions and imaginative ideas showed just how much they had been inspired. A truly out-of-this-world experience!
We are delighted to be welcoming two authors to the Pre-Prep over the next couple of weeks. First of all, next Tuesday 10th June, Nick Stebbings, Head of Maths at Hampton School, will be paying us a visit to talk about his writing journey and the publication of his book “Doctor Ray and her Magical Patients”. We can’t wait to hear his story in person, but in the meantime, you can find out more information on his blog post here: https://pegasuspublishers.com/blog/post/where-a-real-connection-occurs-an-interview-with-nick-stebbings/
The following week, we are excited to welcome author Anya Tuckwell-Jassar on Tuesday 17th June. Children from Kindergarten to Year 2 will take part in an exciting workshop, filled with interactive games and movement.
Anya’s book Flingo | Flamingos is a unique flip-book from FictFact. It is a two-in-one picture book – pairing a fun rhyming adventure with fascinating flamingo facts. Packed with rhythm, rhyme, and real-world learning, it’s perfect for sparking curiosity and building vocabulary—whether reading together or exploring solo.
Please can all parents fill in the school visit form by Tuesday 10th June here: https://bit.ly/3GVDFSt – even if you do not wish to purchase a book. After submitting the form, you’ll have the option to purchase a copy of the book, should you wish.
