In our phonics sessions, we have continued developing our blending skills, as well as learning the correct formation of letters /d/, /g/and /o/.
In art this week we created our own unique Forest Folk out of clay and our Autumn treasures that we had collected from our Autumn bags last weekend. We had great fun manipulating the clay to form our unique models and adorning some gorgeous natural details, such as pine cone noses and leaf hats and googly eyes! On the tuff tray we had lots of fun using the hammers to tap pins into our spooky pumpkins with precision, really testing our fine motor skills!
We especially enjoyed seeing the ‘Pink Open Homework Exhibition’ this week, we were amazed by our friend’s creativity! Thank you to Viraj for making and writing all your friends and teacher’s a lovely Diwali card.
Well done, Reception, for settling so well into your new class routines and working so hard this half term! We hope you have a fabulous half-term break. Don’t forget to complete your half-term holiday snapshots to share when you return to school! Please also remember to empty your book bag and enjoy looking at all your hard work.
After the half-term break, we will be thinking about Autumn festivals and Remembrance Day.
