He’s certainly added a sprinkle of magic to our days! Next week, we will be writing a reply to Elfie’s letter. If any child would like to write to him over the weekend, I’m sure he would love to receive a Christmas message or a joke!

We’ve also been busy rehearsing for the Pre Prep Christmas performance. The children have been practising their songs with great enthusiasm! This inspired our writing activity about The First Christmas, where the children created a picture and copy-wrote a sentence to go with their drawing.

In mathematics we have been working out our number bonds to five using counters and five frames we enjoyed recording our number sentences on white boards. We were amazed to find so many ways to find the number five.

Creativity has been flowing this week — our classroom is sparkling with glitter! The children made Christmas crowns, snow globes and Elfed themselves! We have also been busy decorating the classroom and exploring festive play areas, including Santa’s Workshop, and a Nativity tuff tray!

We hope you enjoyed our Christmas songs at our Christmas Open Classroom this afternoon!

Christmas magic continues next week!
