In the classroom, we fully embraced our roles as budding palaeontologists at our ‘Fossil Investigation Station’. Wearing gloves and using magnifying glasses, the children eagerly examined ‘dinosaur dung’ to work out what different dinosaurs might have eaten—discovering whether they were herbivores, carnivores, or omnivores. They also followed a recipe to make salt dough bones. Once dried, the bones were buried in soil, and the children loved carefully excavating, brushing away the dirt, and revealing the hidden fossils.

In mathematics, we explored capacity through hands-on activities, filling and comparing containers and using rich descriptive vocabulary linked to volume. We also looked closely at money, enjoying the opportunity to handle real coins, notes and even bank cards.

To finish the week, we stomped, stretched, and roared along with Tiny the T-Rex in a lively Cosmic Kids Yoga session!

Next week, we look forward to exploring our five senses.
