Yesterday, we were treated to another superb class assembly, this time led by Year 2. They centred their assembly on the PRIDE value, Responsibility, thoughtfully linking it to the responsibilities they carry out in school as well as those they share in the wider world. In particular, theyexplored our collective duty to protect the ocean, using the delightful picture book, Somebody Swallowed Stanley, as their inspiration. The children delivered their lines with remarkable poise, clarity and confidence—well done, Year 2!
This week the Courtesy Cup and Badge went to Eli (Reception) for consistently demonstrating good table manners, eating politely and always remembering to say please and thank you. Thank you, Eli.
and Stars of the Week were awarded to:
Year 2: Prayan for going above and beyond in maths lessons to secure his number fact knowledge.
Year 1: Ivaan for working hard to complete his work independently.
Reception: Amrita for always creating beautiful neat work and art pieces, and taking pride in her creativity.
More awards followed the above and so our congratulations to:
Reception: Akaal for achieving his Advanced Swimmer Certificate.
Year 2: Finn for achieving Stage 3 in his swimming lessons; Coco for achieving Learn to Swim 5; and Zayn for his certificate of bravery from his recent trip to the doctors.
Have a restful weekend!
