This week, we also successfully completed both a fire drill and a lockdown practice, the latter taking place from the playground. The children conducted themselves calmly and sensibly throughout, and we were very proud of how well they followed the procedures.
These drills also remind us of the importance of strong firsttime listening skills. In situations where instructions must be followed quickly and safely, the ability to stop, listen, and respond straight away is essential. We will continue reinforcing these skills in school and appreciate your support in encouraging good listening habits at home, too.
As promised last week, I am pleased to share an update from our School Councillors on their fundraising for WaterAid UK. I am delighted to report that they have already raised an impressive £190.10 for this wonderful cause. They still have one more idea up their sleeves to boost the total further, which they look forward to sharing with their peers next week.
Looking ahead, you are warmly invited to join us for Open Classrooms on Friday 20 March, from 8.30 – 9.30am. Also, after a brief hiatus, our much loved Easter Bonnet Parade returns this year and will take place on Thursday 26 March at 9.15am in the playground. We warmly invite you to attend and to stay for a coffee in the Centenary Hall at the end of the event, if you don’t have to rush off.

This week the Courtesy Cup and Badge went to Hasan (Year 2) for his marvellous manners and dedication to learning. Keep up the cheerful smile, Hasan!

As you may know, Mrs Timba is currently away from school as she recovers from a kidney transplant. During this time, she is also raising money in support of Kidney Transplant research and support services. I am delighted to share the link below should you wish to donate to this wonderful cause.
I look forward to welcoming you into school soon but, in the meantime, wish you all a wonderful weekend.
