In mathematics, we tested our coin recognition, playing a game solving money problems. The children loved testing themselves, perhaps they could look at some coins at home too?
We have also been thinking about numbers beyond 20. We used the 100 square to help count our potatoes harvested. We were amazed to find exactly 100 potatoes! The day after we counted our potatoes we made the tastiest potato salad! It was especially delicious knowing that we had grown the potatoes in our Reception class vegetable garden. Now we are looking forward to our tomatoes ripening – hopefully before we break up!
