It has been excellent to welcome back pupils this week, and to see Mrs Howard, our Deputy Head Pastoral, settle into her role full time now following her part time arrival last term.
In assembly at the Prep this week I began the term by reminding pupils how important it is to the teaching team here and me for everyone to be aiming high all the time. I referenced the two main components of school life: the relational side of how we spend our days together and I talked of course about the academic side.
I emphasised to the boys how keen I am for them to be really productive this term. This was my main message to them all. I have high hopes for them all maintaining positive, cheerful and friendly relationships with everyone at our school, and to try and make a new friend or two as well. Alongside that, I have high hopes for the work they produce. We do of course have our summer exams coming up, which are the test of how productive everyone has been since last September. Howsoever our pupils choose to get stuck in this term, making the most of the busy, action-packed weeks to come, we shall be reminding them to focus on not only producing excellent outcomes across both dimensions of school life, but to ensure they have a jolly good time doing so!
Finally, Eid Mubarak! to all the families at Hampton Pre-Prep & Prep who are celebrating the holy month of Ramadan drawing to a close this evening, and over the weekend.
