A shorter week than usual, and another shorter week next week thanks to His Majesty King Charles III’s Coronation. It was really lovely to have the whole school together today at the Prep, enjoying our picnic lunch and ice creams. Whatever your views may be on the Monarchy, the day has been an excellent opportunity to recognise the national and historical importance of the Coronation. Lessons had a Coronation theme this morning too, and Head of Art Mrs Adams was able to unveil her fabulous ‘Crown of Flowers’ that she and the boys have been crafting over recent days. We tweeted a couple of versions of it, so do please look if you are on social media as it is a magnificent work of art. After lunch Miss Bee led us on some very joyful singing, which rounded off the celebration in an entirely fitting manner.
