As the half term draws to a close, we are reflecting this week on what we have learnt from our assembly theme ‘The Wonder of Music’. We have considered music in all its glory across a range of genres, we have heard plenty of music being played, including in the excellent final Pupils’ Informal Concert of the year yesterday afternoon. Most importantly of all in my mind is how we have considered the feelings that music evokes deeply in us, down to the very core of our souls. We shall continue with the same degree of introspection in assemblies next half term as we change our assembly theme. We shall spend the remainder of the school year thinking about and scrutinising ‘The Beauty of Art’. I am hopeful the weather shall be glorious over the half term break but if it proves not to be, and you find yourself wandering about one of the many extraordinary art galleries more or less on our doorstep in central London so that you may contemplate the beauty of art with your children, that will be very helpful for us next half term at school!
