In yesterday’s assembly, Mr Smith introduced the children to the French word outré in connection with our theme ‘Dare to Be Different’, explaining it means “excessive, extreme, exaggerated,” is indeed a past participle of the French verb outrer “to push or go beyond the limits.” Reiterating that it takes strength, courage and bravery to be different, the assembly finished with us all agreeing that here at Hampton Pre-Prep & Prep, we are happy to be different at our school.
This week the Courtesy Cup and Badge went to Charles (Year 2) for being kind and courteous to his teachers, and for upholding the School value of honesty.
