We were delighted to welcome Mr Salt to Monday’s assembly to hear about his travels around Africa.  What an experience and, more importantly, what important life lessons learned along the way. I have to say, he had me squirming in my chair recalling the incident with the mice! Reflecting on his wise words this week, I agree with him wholeheartedly about the importance of being grateful for what we already have at home, taking all opportunities presented to embrace the new, in terms of cultures, activities and friendships, but especially the fact that a smile goes a long way.  Thank you so much, Mr Salt.

Last Friday,  I wrote to tell you about The Big Garden Birdwatch organised by the RSPB. Not one single bird landed in my garden during the time I was watching I am sorry to report, but I am very much hoping you were all far more successful than me –  I would love to hear your experiences if you have a spare moment to drop me a quick email.
