Next week, the festive cheer continues with the much-anticipated Nativity performance by Reception, Year 1, and Year 2 children. This special event will take place in the James Hall at Prep, starting at 2.30pm. Parents and grandparents are warmly invited, with the Carlisle Park gate opening at 2.15pm for your convenience. We look forward to seeing you there and sharing in the magic of the season!

A quick reminder: all children (Reception, Year 1, and Year 2) need to come dressed in their school uniform on both Wednesday 4th and Thursday 5th December, please. There is no need to send in PE kits on either day. To minimise opportunities for any losses, we will not be taking water bottles, blue bags, hats, scarves, or gloves to Prep on the day of the performance. Please also note that filming of the production will take place on Wednesday 4th December during our dress rehearsal.

Our Christmas post-box will open for business on Monday 2nd December and remain open until Wednesday 11th December. Please remember to write both the recipient’s name and form on the envelope to ensure safe delivery.

This week the Courtesy Cup and Badge went to Daniel (Reception) for consistent and excellent polite behaviour.

and Stars of the Week to:

Year 2: Sebastian G for superstar shape knowledge in maths, and for acting so brilliantly in our Christmas production.

Year 1: Lucas A for exceptional effort in our rehearsal this week – brilliant singing and super listening.  Well done – you’re a star!

Reception:  Shaylen for his fabulous writing about the story, Stick Man.

Several presentations were made in assembly yesterday, all for celebrating progress in swimming.  Well done to Sebastian G (Year 2) for gaining his 15 metres swimming badge, Zayn (Year 1) for being selected as Swimmer of the Week, awarded for good swimming and lovely listening, and Clara (Year 1) for her two swimming badges – back-leg kick (10m) and floatation on her back. Our congratulations to you all!

I wish you all a restful weekend ahead of the hectic countdown to Christmas – it promises to be a terribly busy time!
