We were especially delighted to welcome the wonderful Tracey Corderoy, whose engaging stories and infectious enthusiasm captivated us all – a huge hit with both children and adults alike. Her visit was a true inspiration, sparking imaginations and reminding us of the power of books. It was a joy to see the children so enthralled, hanging on to her every word and eager to share their own literary adventures.  Furthermore, her advice on resilience—working hard, staying committed to dreams, and bouncing back from setbacks—was incredibly valuable and well received.

A huge thank you to all our families for supporting this special day—whether through costumes, donating pre-loved WBD costumes to the sale last week, or simply by fostering a love of reading at home.

Reception’s week was topped off with a fabulous trip to RHS Wisley and what wonderful weather they enjoyed on their outing.  A big thank to all the adults accompanying the visit – I am hugely appreciative of everyone’s time.  Miss Johnston and Mrs O’Brien report that the class behaved impeccably during their outing.

In assembly we celebrated this week’s recipient of the Courtesy Cup and BadgeHenry M-J for displaying beautiful manners and for outstanding contribution to classroom discussions.  Keep it up, Henry!

and Stars of the Week went to the following children:

Year 2:  Oscar F for super focus and independence in our English lessons this week.

Year 1:  Oscar W for his fantastic effort with his handwriting this week.  Keep up the great work.

Reception:  Aryan for trying so hard with his independent writing and using a word bank – top job, Aryan!

We congratulated the children following for their achievements out of school –  in Year 2, Lucas N and Seby for their badges and books celebrating their progress on the slopes after a week of ski-ing in France, Shreyan for his certificate for winning the final of the half term football tournament (he managed to win all matches) and Bertie for his trophy having been selected Man of the Match for Hampton Rangers Football team.

In Year 1, we congratulated Taksh for being named as Player of the Week at Little Kickers and Vrushank’s for his impressive email from his cricket coach commending him on his developing cricket skills and general excellent attitude to all sessions.

Next week, we are looking forward to seeing you at the Parent Teacher Consultations, on either Wednesday 12 or Thursday 13 March – refreshments will be served in the hall.

Wishing you all a lovely weekend filled with stories and adventure!
