Here are some photographs before and after the event …
School Council and Eco Warriors were thrilled with the wonderful entries to their London Air Ambulance competition, calling for air ambulance designs. We saw helicopters created from all sorts of materials, alongside fabulous designs on paper – what a creative bunch of children we have in Pre-Prep! After much deliberation, and with the help of Ms von Allemann, we are thrilled to announce the overall winner, Arnav (Reception) who created his using all sorts of recycled materials. A huge thank you to all who submitted designs!
The competition raised a good sum of money for London’s Air Ambulance Charity, with the HPPA kindly agreeing to double the total (as they did for the pre-loved costume sale last term) so a grand of £134.00. We may have one final initiative for this important charity this term to boost our fundraising efforts further… watch this space! We also greatly look forward to welcoming Rhiannon from the charity to visit our School in September.
Year 2 had a fantastic time today at their very first Prep taster session – what fun it was! They spent a lively morning meeting some of the members of Prep staff and getting to grips with the routines they’ll follow from September as well as learning the layout of the site. As if that wasn’t enough excitement, the afternoon brought scooter training with the local authority – a brilliant way to round off such a busy, action-packed day!
It is with much pleasure that we announce this term’s House and Vice Captains:
York: House Captain – Arjunah, Vice-Captain – Seby
Windsor: House Captain – Bertie, Vice-Captain – Shreyan
Tudor: House Captain – Cameron, Vice-Captain – Praneel
Lancaster: House Captain – Charles, Vice-Captain – Lani
Also, this week’s recipient of the Courtesy Cup and Badge: Varun (Year 2) for his cheerful approach to school life and for being so considerate with adults and friends. Keep it up, Varun!
and Stars of the Week went to the following children:
Year 2: Lucas for being such a conscientious learner, and for impeccable manners!
Year 1: Zayn for excellent effort in his sentence writing – neatly formed letters and including conjunctions. Well done!
Reception: Saroop for consistently displaying kindness, respect and consideration towards his friends.
Wishing you all a super Bank Holiday weekend and once again thank you so much for your very kind comments as I embark on my leave.
