It costs an incredible £17 million each year to keep the helicopters flying, and the charity receives no support via the NHS or government. We were amazed to hear that, although the helicopter is based in East London, it can reach our local area in under ten minutes, soaring above the traffic to deliver lifesaving care when it’s needed most.
Designs of helicopters from last year’s competition impressed Rhiannon very much indeed – she couldn’t believe the range of materials used. A very big thank you to Rhiannon for visiting our school!
It’s been another bumper crop of awards this week. Firstly, we welcomed the Year 2 Autumn Term House and Vice Captains to role, and they are as follows:
Lancaster (red) – Finlay, House Captain and Francis, Vice-Captain
Windsor (yellow) -Taksh, House Captain and Finn, Vice-Captain
York (green) – Wilf, House Captain and Bodie, Vice-Captain
Tudor (blue) – Simran, House Captain and Prayan, Vice-Captain
We are very pleased to introduce our new School Council for the term ahead. Each class has carefully chosen their representatives, who will bring forward ideas, questions and suggestions on behalf of their classmates. At our school, we believe that pupil voice is a vital part of our community: it helps us to listen, to improve and to make sure everyone feels included in shaping school life. We look forward to seeing how councilors will work together to make a positive difference this year. This term, they are as follows: Year 2, Clara and Oscar; Year 1, Jon and Joseph; and Reception, Adi and Annie.
Year 2 Eco Warrior have also been selected and will be in office until half term in the Spring Term – well done to – Coco, Zaki, Krishna and Ed. Mrs O’Brien will be working with the warriors this year and we look forward to hearing their plans.

This week the Courtesy Cup and Badge went to Dilraj (Year 1) for listening and responding so politely. Remembering his ‘please’ and ‘thank yous,’ and being a smiley, happy class member.
Stars of the Week were awarded to:
Year 2: Hasan for settling so beautifully into Hampton Pre-Prep, and for writing such interesting sentences every morning.
Year 1: Aryan for thoughtful vocabulary choices.
Reception: Sowparnika for being a great role model – setting a great example to others by following all our golden rules. Thank you!
More awards followed the above and so our congratulations to:
Year 2: Hasan for completing a 7km hike in Box Hill for his birthday – which was his pledge. He was really pleased with himself and didn’t complain once!
Year 1: Anish for his Learn to Swim 1 – well done!
Reception: Roman for his swimming medal for swimming very well and Ozan for completing Duckling Award 3.
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!
