When choosing costumes and makeup, please keep in mind our youngest children in Pre-Prep — we would love the outfits to be fun rather than frightening! Also, comfort is key: children will be wearing their costumes all day, so please avoid all-in-one outfits that may be tricky for little ones to manage when using the toilet!

Yesterday, our Reception children were all set to embark on a deliciously exciting adventure to Pizza Express, where they were to become mini chefs for the morning! Sadly, due to exceptionally heavy traffic, the buses were unable to reach the destination in time, and the children had to return to Pre-Prep without their pizzas.

While this was undoubtedly disappointing, it also presented a valuable learning opportunity. Learning to navigate and bounce back from unexpected setbacks is an important life skill, and I am incredibly proud of how the children responded. They showed remarkable maturity and understanding, appreciating that sometimes things don’t go to plan, and that’s okay.

Their ability to take this in their stride, with positivity and grace, speaks volumes about their growing grit and emotional resilience. Miss Johnston is already working to reschedule the visit and will share the date as soon as practicable.

This week the Courtesy Cup and Badge went to Aric for brilliant engagement during our Shape Hunt – you were courteous to your teachers and friends, and we loved your enthusiasm for learning.
