Thank you to everyone who took part in our two World Book Day competitions. The exceptionally high standard made the judging of the book covers tremendously difficult and I can honestly say I was so glad I did not have to choose the winners! As you will have heard in our World Book Day gathering, the overall winner in this competition for his depiction of ‘The Day the Crayons Quit’ was Frank (Reception). Other winners included: Harry (Kindergarten), Max (Reception), Henry (Year 1) and Viaan (Year 2). We intend to make another lovely display with all entrants to ensure that everyone gets to enjoy the superb artwork on visits to the library – on that note, I would be so grateful to have the original pieces for the display if at all possible, please?
Similarly, in the second competition ‘Guess Who?’, we were thrilled by the children’s efforts in matching clues to teachers successfully. The winners drawn were as follows: Rosie (Kindergarten), Hari (Reception), Max (Year 1), and Tommy (Year 2). All prizes will be distributed in person next week, as will the certificates to all of whom took the time to take part – very well done to all!
On that note, it goes without saying that we are so excited to greet everyone on Monday morning but, in the meantime, enjoy the weekend and we shall see you all very, very soon.
