I would also like to update you on two staffing matters. We have been delighted to welcome Miss Madden to Hampton PrePrep this week; she will be teaching Year 1 during Mrs Timba’s absence and has already made a great start in the classroom getting to know the children. In addition, Mrs Cox has been called for jury service and will be out of school for the next two weeks. If you need to contact her urgently, please do not hesitate to reach out to me in the first instance.
As you know, last term our School Council worked hard to support a number of fantastic charities, including the locally based Hygiene Bank. A huge thank you to everyone for your incredible generosity in donating baby products – your kindness will make a real difference to families in our community. These items will be incorporated into ‘baby baskets’ and distributed to local maternity units to help those in need. School Council were absolutely delighted with the fantastic response – thank you!

School Councillors will change next week when we announce the Spring Term representatives. Two classes still have elections to come, so do talk to your child about the role over the weekend if they are keen to stand ahead of next week’s votes.
You may have seen the recent flyer about the Big Garden Birdwatch – do consider taking part. It is so important for children to recognise and name common birds in their environment. Observing nature offers countless benefits in today’s fast-paced world, so I would strongly encourage you to join in. We look forward to receiving your child’s results and hearing about their observations.
