Their visit comes at the perfect moment as we begin our countdown to World Book Day next week. We are thrilled to be starting the celebrations with a visit from author Ged Adamson. The children are very much looking forward to meeting him and discovering how he creates his stories — we are hoping he might share some top tips to inspire the budding authors among us.
A gentle reminder that we will be celebrating World Book Day slightly ahead of the rest of the UK. Children (and staff!) are invited to come to school dressed as their favourite book characters on Wednesday 4 March.
Finally, a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has supported School Council’s fundraising efforts for WaterAid UK today. The Council led Monday’s assembly with great confidence, sharing the important message that 696 million people, almost one in ten of us, still live without clean water close to home. Their commitment to making a difference is inspiring, and your generosity is greatly appreciated. Thank you once again.
This week the Courtesy Cup and Badge went to Anish (Year 1) for his cheerful greeting each day at the front door and his polite, genuine “How are you?” to his teachers, demonstrating excellent manners.
