As you can imagine, a great deal of fun was had by all, alongside the discovery of fascinating facts about the period. This learning continued back in the classroom, where some beautiful mosaics have been created and pupils have explored how the Romans left their mark, for example, the straight roads we still use today dating back to these times.
This week the Courtesy Cup and Badge went to Viraj (Reception) for consistently sharing the charitable activities he undertakes with his family. Miss Johnston added how very grateful we are to him for sharing these important moments with the class, highlighting the importance of caring for those around us and encouraging reflection on how small acts of kindness can make a big difference. Thank you.
and Stars of the Week were awarded to:
Year 2: Noah for being such an enthusiastic learner on our Roman Theme day. What a lot of facts you know, Noah!
Year 1: Louis for working really hard in his space adventure writing.
Reception: Roman for consistently working hard and demonstrating determination and perseverance on every task. Great job!
More awards followed the above, and so our congratulations go to:
Year 1: Daniel for achieving white-yellow belt in Kickboxing and a red belt in Karate and Anish for gaining his yellow stripe in Taekwondo!
Year 2: Bodie for achieving grey belt for Jiu Jitsu grading and brown belt for his kickboxing grading (double assessment).
