It was also a real pleasure to meet with so many parents on the same day. Class teachers will be sending out the PowerPoints from their presentations, and you will also receive a booklet to guide you through the next academic year; these will be shared before the end of term. Year 2 parents will meet with Mrs Timba and Miss Barun in September, ahead of the new school year.
Friday’s Sports Day was superb, and I do hope you enjoyed it as much as we did. I think you will agree that the children were all superstars, running their races with tremendous energy and commitment. I felt immensely proud of them – so goodness knows how proud you must have been! My sincere thanks go to Mr Salt and his team for organising and delivering such a fantastic event.
Our assembly theme, The People on Our Planet, continues, and we are now focusing on those who care for us in different ways across our world. We were delighted to welcome Dr Bader, who led a fascinating assembly about her role as an ophthalmologist. The children were thoroughly engaged and intrigued by her work. If you would like to speak at one of our assemblies, please do get in touch.
Next Saturday, 13 June, we look forward to the Summer Festival, taking place from 1.00–4.00pm on the school field. Mrs Jepson, Ms von Allemann and the HPPPA committee have worked incredibly hard to ensure it will be a wonderful occasion. They are still looking for additional volunteers, so please do check your year group rota to see where you may be able to help – I know they would greatly appreciate extra hands-on deck. It promises to be a fun-filled afternoon, and I do hope you will be able to join us.
