The children loved wearing their football shirts on Thursday to coincide with the official opening of the World Cup, and I must pass on that school council are most grateful for the money you sent in, as all money raised will go to The British Heart Foundation – thank you

Mr Smith took the children on a journey back in time to learn about Ireland, and particularly Brehon Law. We agreed it was a very sensible set of rules by which people lived their lives in times gone by -values aplenty but with fairness firmly at the heart of every decision.
Reception visited Bocketts Farm today and, by all accounts, had a truly wonderful time. As always, it was so encouraging to hear how beautifully the children conducted themselves throughout the visit. We are so grateful to all our volunteers who helped today – thank you to Mrs Gurm, Mrs Kenning and Miss Shepherd.
This week the Courtesy Cup and Badge went to Amir-Ali for always showing exceptional behaviour in class and in the playground.
and Stars of the Week were awarded to:
Year 2: Krishna for a stunning attitude to learning, showing kindness to others, and for lighting up our classroom every day!
Year 1: Joseph for bringing extra enthusiasm to our science lessons and sharing great facts.
Reception: Henry for working so hard on his independent writing adding imaginative detail and wow words.
More awards followed the above, and so our congratulations go to:
Year 1: Amir-Ali for being Star of the Week at his local football club; and to Daniel for running 11 2K runs at his local Park Run – that’s a half marathon!
Year 2: Finn for completing Stage 4 Swim England.
Looking forward to seeing you at the Summer Festival tomorrow.
