There was a real sense of excitement as the children took part in the swap, behaving maturely and with consideration for others as they went about choosing their new soft toy. It proved to be a thoroughly enjoyable fundraising effort. Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity but also a huge thank you from me to Mrs Leissle and the School Councillors for their first-rate efforts in organising such a terrific event.
The excitement continued today for the girls and boys as they visited Secret Santa. We witnessed the great joy they experienced when selecting gifts for their loved ones. It most certainly is one of my favourite events here in school – a very big thank you to all the mummies who, although for a second year running sadly could not be on-site, nevertheless worked so hard behind the scenes to make this event so special for us. Thank you.
Next week the usual timetable will be disrupted somewhat as we begin to rehearse in earnest for the two shows next week. Miss Bee has been working hard with all the children here. Please do refer to my letter for the finer details for each event in the run up to Christmas and, most importantly, please do make sure you have completed a lateral flow test before you arrive and bring a mask to cover your face when on-site.
The recipient of the Courtesy Cup and Badge this week was Archunan (Year 2) for always displaying excellent behaviour and wonderful manners.
Stars of the Week were awarded to:
Year 2: Zachary for always showing enthusiasm towards his learning!
Year 1: Benedict for wonderful writing using interesting adjectives in English.
Reception: Henri for his lovely writing about the first Christmas.
Congratulations to Jasper (Year 1) for achieving Level 2 Learn to Swim Award.
