Shortly, you will be hearing more about the events planned to mark the momentous occasion of the Platinum Jubilee but, a quick heads up, if you have any spare time over this weekend, there will be a ‘House Crown Making Competition’ for the whole school to get involved in.
The theme has spurred on some great independent research from several pupils here at Pre-Prep; naturally, we absolutely love it when this happens! Thank you to Ayan (Year 2) and Murtaza (Year 1) for sharing their interesting research so eloquently in today’s assembly.
Don’t forget the inaugural Little Litter Pickers Hampton meet later today, I am looking forward to hearing all about it next week!
The Courtesy Cup and Badge went to Frank (Year 1) for demonstrating exceptionally courteous behaviour at the beginning and end of every day.
Stars of the Week went to the following children:
Year 2: Lev for working hard to improve his handwriting and presentation! Well done.
Year 1: Daniel for working hard in English – in particular, showing dedication to improving his handwriting.
Reception: Rosie for excellent writing in literacy.
I am pleased to announce the following children are School Councillors this term and have had their first meeting with Mrs Leissle today: Akhil & Taran (Year 2), Selim & Ahana (Year 1), and Aran & Anne (Reception). We look forward to hearing what initiatives they will be busy with this term.
We have celebrated a number of sporting achievements this week, congratulations to the following pupils: Harry (Reception) for his Learn to Swim Level 2 Award; Rayan (Year 2) for gaining his “Knee Kick” (Moo Reup Chaki) badge in Kuk Sool Won; Frank (Year 1) for being awarded with a medal for his excellent sportsmanship and listening at Hearts of Teddlothian football club; and Taran (Year 2) for receiving a special football trophy for playing very well in a recent game and a medal for running in the Ealing mini mile.
