On the subject of creativity, don’t forget next Friday (27 May) we shall be having our Platinum Jubilee celebration – we need everyone to be wearing red, white and blue on that day and to bring in their home-made crowns for the Grand Parade. So you don’t feel you have missed out on this extravaganza, next week’s bulletin will be given over to photographs of the event so you get a flavour of the event, albeit in pictures.
Our fingers are well and truly crossed in the hope of good weather on Thursday 9 June as this is the date of our Pre-Prep Sports Day – hurrah, no restrictions on numbers, everyone is very welcome to attend this year! It would be really helpful for the children to have their trainers in school on Monday 6 and Tuesday 7 June to allow us to take part in a few extra practices weather permitting. I shall be sending a letter to you all with greater details next week.
The Courtesy Cup and Badge went to Taran (Year 2) for always displaying beautiful manners to every member of staff and pupil.
Stars of the Week went to the following children:
Year 2: Konark for his excellent effort during his swimming lesson this week!
Year 1: Hari for being a super scientist when investigating materials for insulation properties.
Reception: Henri for his fabulous reading and always trying his best with his independent writing.
Congratulations to the following: Henri and Willem (Reception) who both received a medal and certificate for playing brilliantly and being super star mini rugby players at Harlequins; Jasper (Year 1) for his medal from Hampton Hill cricket for super bowling and fielding; and to Rayan (Year 2) for achieving his “Upward Block” badge this weekend at Kuk Sool Won – we loved his demonstration!
