I have to say I was immensely proud of all our young runners from Kindergarten to Year 2.  The children were superb, as I am quite sure you will all agree.  Sometimes things don’t go according to plan and it was these moments that made me the proudest yesterday – seeing children experiencing a fall yet still dusting themselves off and bouncing right back to continue on with running their race, or those starting way behind others – they all kept right at it, showing determination and grit, but mostly that all important resilience which will serve them well through life.  Very well done to ALL!  My grateful thanks to my colleagues who made the event pass so smoothly but also to all of you for your wonderful support yesterday.

It was great to see many of you at last night’s Welcome and Information Evening for Reception to Year 2, we shall send next year’s timetable out once we have had the opportunity to work a full week here but the booklets to accompany the evening will be distributed before the end of this term.

The fun never stops here,  Monday (13 June), will see us all rocking our best Medieval look – don’t forget to come dressed up!

The Courtesy Cup and Badge went to Christo (Year 1) for demonstrating courteous behaviour to friends and adults alike.

Stars of the Week went to the following children:

Year 2: Sendan for being a kind and thoughtful friend to others.

Year 1Jasper for consistent outstanding behaviour and attitude to learning.

Reception: Charles for his lovely detailed family tree!

Congratulations to Charlie (Reception) for achieving his Learn to Swim Stage 1 award, his Curling football – closest shot award and a Sportsmanship award following his attendance at a football camp during half term.  Likewise, very well done to Harry (Year 2) for also being awarded Sportsmanship award at football camp.
