The children have also experienced a second moving up morning as we welcomed next year’s Kindergarten class to Hampton Pre-Prep & Prep. In addition to this, our Year 2 children spent a whole day at Prep, learning the ropes and getting to know the new Year 3 children joining them there in September.  By all accounts they had a great day and comments received from colleagues at Prep tell me they definitely made a very good first impression. Once these pivotal dates in the school calendar have taken place, it always seems to me the rest of the year passes in a blink of an eye…so be prepared!

I have two important dates for your diaries before the end of the academic year, namely Open Classrooms and the Pre-Prep Summer Concert and Prize Giving.  The first takes place on Wednesday 6 July; the usual format will occur – parents of any morning Kindergarten children may visit at 11.30am on that day and the remainder of the School (afternoon Kindergarten children, Reception, Years 1 and 2) at 3.00pm. Our Pre-Prep Summer Concert and Prize Giving is on Thursday 7 July at 9.30am in the James Hall – the children are working incredibly hard preparing with Miss Bee.  We hope to see you at both occasions but, in the meantime, have super weekend.

The Courtesy Cup and Badge went to Arjun (Year 2) for always greeting the teachers on the gate by saying, “Good morning, how are you?”

Stars of the Week went to the following children:

Year 2: Henry for always trying his absolute best in all he does.

Year 1Jacob Ri for excellent reading progress – demonstrating a brilliant knowledge of vocabulary.
