During her informative talk, Dr Johal not only explained the importance of taking good care of one’s teeth with regular brushing and good food choices, but also stressed how vital regular check-ups with a dentist are in order to maintain strong healthy teeth and proper oral hygiene. With the aid of a large model of a mouth and a huge toothbrush, she demonstrated the correct brushing technique. We are extremely grateful to Dr Johal for being so generous not only with her time but also for the lovely goody bags – thank you!

Later this term, we shall be welcoming Drs Patel and Audit to hear more about the role of doctors in looking after others.  I am extremely grateful to all the parents who have been so generous with their time – their visits to Pre-Prep have certainly brought our current assembly topic alive – a very big thank you to all!

It’s beginning to feel a lot like Christmas here in Pre-Prep – yesterday Secret Santa took place thanks to Mrs Seward and her helpers, and now we are really looking forward to seeing you at our Christmas Productions next week.  Kindergarten’s, ‘A Magical Christmas Tree’, takes place on Tuesday 6 December at 10.45am – the blue side gate will open from 10.30am. Later in the week, on Thursday 8 December it’s the turn of Reception, Years 1 and 2 in the James Hall at Prep at 2.30pm.  We are asking that parents come on site via the Carlisle Park gate entrance which will be open at 2.15pm. A plea from the School to request that you park very carefully around the local area, nothing antagonises our neighbours more than inconsiderate parking.

Do start digging out and dusting down your Christmas jumper ready for next Friday (9 December) as we will be wearing festive attire to school on that day in aid of Save the Children.

This week the Courtesy Cup and Badge went to Rodney Esa (Reception) for always displaying lovely manners towards his teachers and friends.  Thank you, Rodney Esa!
