As per the letter sent last week, we are unveiling the 12 Days of Giving on Monday, so do look out for the small card that your child will bring home to help them to keep track of the twelve ‘giving’ tasks that they will complete with you at home.  When talking to the children, I often refer to that lovely warm glow one gets when being kind, caring and helpful to others –  this presents the perfect opportunity to spread that all important thoughtfulness, being generous not only with our time but also our efforts.  Please do ensure your child brings their completed card back to school on Thursday 7 January 2021 in order to receive their 12 Days of Giving certificate.

Thank you to all who have responded to my plea to stop parking on the zigzags outside the School; it is greatly appreciated. The School is keen to engender harmonious relationships with our neighbours so adhering to the highway code definitely smooths and promotes this.

AWARDS THIS WEEK

Courtesy Cup and Badge recipient: Thomas (Year 1)  for always being a cheerful and polite member of Year 1.

Stars of the Week:

Year 2: Mahir for his enthusiasm towards his learning. Keep it up!

Year 1: Ayansh for always making fantastic contributions to our class discussions.

Reception: Matteo for his fantastic independent writing about the story ‘The Little Christmas Tree’

The children in Year 2 all had the option to write an acrostic poem for a competition run by ‘Young Writers’. Imagine our delight when they all decided to submit an entry and, although official winners have not been selected yet, each child has been awarded with a ‘Talent for Writing’ certificate and all their poems are being published in a young writers’ anthology.  Very well done!
