Describing her pathway into the musical world, we heard how she entered a music school aged just 5 having discovered quite early on that music was indeed her passion.  For those of you who don’t know, Mrs Markoff has played with various orchestras around the world and has been involved in the musical elements of some extremely impressive films – Star Wars, Harry Potter and Matilda, to name but a few. I was particularly delighted to hear her urging the children learning instruments to keep at it and most importantly… to practise, practise practise, in order to develop and progress.  Never before have we been played into an assembly by such a maestro – thank you so much, Mrs Markoff!

Our Courtesy Cup and Badge this week went to Arthur (Year 1) for always remembering to say thank you as well as some excellent, sensitive and courteous contributions during our Life Skills lessons.
