We were thrilled to see those of you present at the our Welcome and Information Evenings yesterday which we hope gave you a flavour of what to expect in the next academic year. Each class has a separate information booklet and this will come to you before the end of this term for reference during the next school year. If you do have any follow up questions, I know the class teachers will be very happy to answer them ahead of September.
Year 2 have had another busy week and due to our Moving Up Day here spent another morning at Prep – they will be more than ‘au fait’ with their new surroundings come September 2023. Monday 19 June is an important day for them as they meet their new class teachers and new classmates. Michael Uccelli, our Lead School Counsellor, will be concluding their transition events on Tuesday 20 June before they head to pastures new. Lucky things, they have also enjoyed a wonderful trip to The Living Rainforest as you will see in Mrs Leissle’s write up today – what a lovely outing to enhance their topic work, as noted in recent bulletins they are keen environmentalists!
Monday 12 June sees us engaged in all things Anglo-Saxon and Viking. Do please take a look at my recent letter about this event as we really do not want this to be too onerous for you.
The Courtesy Cup and Badge went to Kostya (Reception) for his consistent cheerful, positive greetings each morning; he is so sunny and polite!
Stars of the Week went to the following children:
Year 2: Kit for going out of his way to look after his friends when they are in need. What a kind, generous soul you are, Kit!
Year 1: Chuck for always trying his best in the classroom and excellent behaviour in the line.
Reception: Seby for trying so hard with his neat letter formation – well done!
Congratulations to Henri (Year 1) and Willem (Year 1) for their Learn to Swim Stage 3.
Have a fabulous weekend and enjoy the HPPPA Summer Fair on Saturday.
