Alex, cool under pressure and utterly determined, swept to victory at the Lexus Junior National Tennis Tournament in July, which those of you very keen on tennis will know is the blue-riband event for his age group. To emerge as champion in such a fiercely competitive field is quite something, and we are thrilled his commitment and sheer graft have been rewarded so handsomely.
Not to be outdone, Barnabas made a splash (quite literally!) at the National Diving Skills Finals in Southend. Having qualified through the regional rounds, he hurled himself into the fray and surfaced in first place for his age category, which is exactly the target he had set himself at the start of the year! Hours of practice on the boards had clearly paid off.
We are, of course, immensely proud of them both. Alex and Barnabas, your school community is cheering loudly from the sidelines!
