We had fun with our floating and sinking investigation. We all chose an object from our classroom and predicted if it would float or sink in the water; we were quite surprised with some of the results. We continued to enjoy playing with water this week and opened our very own Kindergarten car wash in the playground – our vehicles are gleaming now!

There was plenty of excitement as finally the time arrived for our Journeys Outing.  On Thursday, we took in various forms of transport.  We caught the train to Kingston before walking towards the river. We had enough time for a quick drink of water and a biscuit, before boarding the boat, Yarmouth Belle skippered by Simon and his crew. We had great fun waving to as many people we could along the river bank and were overjoyed to see so many people smiling and waving back at us. Once arriving at Hampton Court, we walked to the playground to Bushy Park where we enjoyed our picnic lunch and had a little play on the swings and slide. Finally, it came to the final stage of our journey, as we walked to the 111 bus stop to catch the bus back to the station where our expedition began! Lucky for us, the weather was glorious and the journey unfolded like clockwork. As you would imagine, the children’s behaviour was exemplary and we can safely say a very good time was had by all!

Our topic next week Summer.
