The children have loved painting their own gingerbread men, decorating them with real buttons, string for icing, and googly eyes to make them truly special. We also decorated salt dough gingerbread men and used the painting program on the interactive whiteboard (IWB) to design imaginative gingerbread characters. To top it off, the children carefully sewed their own gingerbread man felt puppets, adding buttons and sticky eyes with great care and focus.

Tuesday was an exciting day as we dressed in costumes and performed Going on a Special Christmas Baby Hunt for our families. The children had so much fun singing a variety of songs and remembering all the accompanying actions. The festive cheer was infectious as everyone joined in with Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. A big well done to all the children for their enthusiasm and effort!

As the weather turns colder, the children have been practising putting on their coats independently and working hard to master zipping them up – well done, everyone! To help keep everything organised, we kindly ask that all hats, gloves, and scarves are clearly labelled.

Next week, we’ll be seasonal cheer through the lovely story, The Jolly Christmas Postman!
