We also explored the location of the poles, learning that the Arctic, also known as the North Pole, is located at the top of the globe, while the Antarctic, or South Pole, lies at the bottom.

In art, we used paint sticks to create detailed paintings of Arctic animals, focusing on their distinct features—did they have a beak or a nose? Flippers or feet?

Our sensory play activities included sculpting with ‘snow’ playdough, painting on tin foil, and playing an exciting game of ‘Feed the Penguin’—be sure to ask us what we had to do!

A quick request: We would be very grateful if any empty 500mll bottles with a screw lid could be brought into school for an upcoming art project.

Next week, we look forward to celebrating Lunar New Year.
