In maths, we’ve been exploring and comparing sizes. We sorted bears based on their size, using a variety of language to describe them, such as big, large, giant, medium, middle-sized, little, teeny and tiny. We had great fun acting out the story using big and little puppets, as well as medium-sized teddy bears.

Using brown paint and paint sticks, we created our own version of the bear characters and had some hands-on fun in a tuff tray full of porridge oats pretending to make porridge just like in the story.

Excitement reached new heights on Friday when we conducted a science experiment with gummy bears! We placed the gummy bears in a cup of water, but before dropping them in, we held them up to the window to see how much light shone through. We made predictions about what might happen to the bears, and now we can’t wait until Monday to see the results.

Next week, we’ll be exploring the traditional fairy-tale- The Three Little Pigs!
