While we loved these funny alien adventures, we also learned an important lesson about pants – that they are private, and what’s in them is private too. We revisited Pantosaurus the Dinosaur, who helped remind us of this message.

This week, aliens visited Kindergarten! They left us a letter and lots of curious objects. The letter explained that the alien, Sporkle, needed magnetic items from our classroom to fix their spaceship. They asked us to sort through the objects in the basket to help with the repair. So, we went on a mission to help our alien friends! Using jumbo magnets and magnetic wands, we identified the magnetic objects and sorted them into two groups. Then we carefully searched the classroom for more magnetic items, making sure to stay away from the laptops and whiteboard.

We also had great fun creating 2D aliens using foam shapes and googly eyes, as well as making alien headdresses. On the big board, we designed our own aliens using our imagination and the painting program.

A special congratulations to Kit, who was awarded his Duckling Level 3 award at his swimming class – well done!

We have a new dinosaur friend in our class called Solveosaurus Rex. He has become a wonderful helper in the room, encouraging the children to think of different ways to solve problems – whether they’re playing, working on an activity, or navigating tricky moments with a friend.

Next week, our topic will be Lunar New Year, and we’re excited for all the learning and celebrations ahead.
