Our classroom smelt of Spring when we became still life artists. We painted detailed pictures of yellow daffodils looking very carefully at the stems and leaves and at the shape of the petals; we noticed that each daffodil had 6 petals. We also coloured and cut out flowers and then made a bee to sit on our flowers for our spring display.

We looked very closely at four different herbs, smelling them and looking at the different shaped leaves. We planted these herbs into grow bags to go in our garden.  In groups, we dug holes in the grow bag and then placed the mint, parsley, basil and thyme plants in them. We then gave them a drink of water to keep them nice and healthy.

Our topic next week is Easter.
