We have been busy cutting and sticking this week as we continued the safari animal pattern, making sure we had the correct animal in sequence. We also used our cutting skills to create our own jungle and rainforest scene, so much imagination was evident, as some fish were placed swimming up-stream and parrots flying mid-air!   We used yellow paint on our hands and arms to create giraffe paintings, using our forearm to make the giraffes very long neck.

There has been lots of questions about what certain animals eat and where they live. One question posed was “how do polar bears keep warm?” –  discussion and debate followed as the children proffered their thoughts. We carried out a science investigation to find out how they keep warm – please do ask us what happened!
